Welcome to the enchanting realm of Paintings and Pottery! I'm Shawn, and alongside my twin sister Sabrica, we love to craft distinctive paintings and pottery that tell a story. Working from two home studios in the Greater Los Angeles area, we bring our shared twin synergy and lifetimes of visual expertise into a single creative sandbox. Our professional paths came full circle after two different creative adventures. Sabrica dived headfirst into the high-fashion world of clothing design, while I spent 30 years mastering human expression and light as a professional headshot and branding photographer. Today, we bridge those two worlds—blending the structural, tactile elements of fashion textiles with the deep spatial awareness and emotion of photography.

Our portfolio is a fluid, high-texture conversation between our two favorite mediums:

• On the Canvas: We completely skip flat surfaces. Sabrica weaves raw textiles, denim, and canvas remnants directly into thick paint layers to create massive, fabric-infused portraits. I bring expressive faces to life using palette-knife details and fluid, watercolor-like strokes on raw canvas, alongside modern 3D carved foam wall features that dance with changing room light.

• On the Wheel: We focus entirely on form and utility. I wheel-throw durable stoneware jars, lidded containers, and ceremonial urns. Each piece is finished with unique glaze patterns, ranging from high-contrast studio blacks to rich jewel tones like deep wine, forest green, and layered blues.
